ALIYAH ART TEASONA

Since reaching Twitch Affiliate, I’ve been so happy and wearing lilac/purple this whole week! Including this illustration I’ve been doing on stream which is my Teasona – for those who don’t know, I love a cuppa tea! I also drink it often in my streams, so I only felt it adequate to draw myself with Lavender-like tea leaves chilling (or brewing?) in tea. What I love about drawing my own original artworks is that you can really express how you’re feeling at the time, and it’s always fun to reflect back on!

Aliyah Art on Twitch

I am now frequently livestreaming on Twitch my art and video game playthroughs too!

Do come and check it out.

I feel that livestreaming for me as an artist and also a gamer is a great way for me to showcase and marry two of my most favourite hobbies and share that with my friends and community. I am looking forward to seeing where this takes me! Below are two illustrations that I completed on the livestream.

Sa’el – All of Them

The work continues on making album artwork illustrations for EPs and singles! I always enjoy doing these because it’s so rewarding seeing the track out on all good streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music etc.) with my artwork clearly shown. The latest piece and also a popular favourite is ‘All of Them’ by Sa’el who was wonderful to work with!

Interview

I was interviewed by the lovely Heeral whom I met on a project for young people that I was coordinating last year. She studies illustration and needed to write an interview and essay about her favourite illustration – which was a piece done by me! I am very flattered and happy to share this 🙂

72 birds for Grenfell

A t-shirt design I did in collaboration with a colleague and friend of mine affected by the terrible incident at Grenfell Tower back in 2017. We wanted to create something in remembrance and he had a vision to create something with 72 doves, he commissioned me to bring his idea to life. I was strongly inspired by MC Escher here and used the optical illusion of birds intertwining and shaping in to one another to create this final design. I feel it really represents the togetherness of the community and each bird represents one of those lost in the fire.

triggered – jhene aiko

In love with listening to Jhene Aiko at the moment and redrew the album artwork for ‘Triggered (freestyle)’.

I am really getting in to drawing album artworks and will be illustrating more for some of my favourite songs – watch this space!
