Updates to my work portfolio to showcase the work I have done for clients recently.
Miles Morales – The Sunflower
An amazing film, probably the best animation of 2018! It’s just breathtaking, beautifully executed and so visually pleasing! I had to draw some fan art. Above all the representation in this film is so important, even I didn’t realise how much until I finished the movie the impact this has. It’s things like this that drive me forward in order to make sure there is more diversity in art and animation.
I have set up a Twitch account to begin live streaming my art – you get to see me draw live! Give me follow to keep in the loop, I will also update on my social medias when I’m live too.
I also hope to be streaming games soon too especially when Kingdom Hearts III comes out – believe there will be tears!
I recently begun my idea to create a self-love comic series depicting the everyday struggles around mental health and how we can tackle them. I was feeling quite low when I drew this, but I felt much better once getting it out. Just goes to show the power of Art! And of course, I shall continue this story when I have completed another animated lyric video commission.
A good friend of mine (and also dedicated client!) has commissioned me to illustrate another picture to give his lady friend as a birthday present. I was first given this task last year and comparing the 2017 illustration to this year’s one, I am so happy and impressed with how much I have improved not only with my skill, but with my composition, colouring and speed.
I was commissioned by talented singer Blits to create an animated lyric video for his new song ‘Not Like You’.
Hearing this for the first time, it was so catchy and I was amazed at his talent. I was very flattered Blits wanted to work with me and create an animation for his awesome tune! Blits was awesome to work with and I’m really pleased with the outcome of this, it’s my first lyric video and there is more to come soon in the future!
Something I’ve been working on and experimenting with a new style and way of colouring. Also I uploaded before the end of November so it still counts as Autumn!
Here are just some the finished commissions from clients and my Fivesquid orders from this month alone! It’s been really busy for me because aside from doing these, I have also been illustrating two children’s books. Keep an eye out for more images from these next month!
I have been a real busy body of late! Many requests are coming through from authors to illustrate their books and I have started a new part time job at the Disney Store too. My life is taking a whole new turn and I am very happy at the way it has unfolded. So much has happened to me within a year, it’s unreal but I feel more in control of my happiness especially career-wise. I hope to one day quit my day job and really be a full time artist! The only way is up.
