Apologies for the lack of posts, I went on holiday to Japan and have come back fuelled with inspiration and more projects in the pipeline. I am also working on a vlog of my trip there so watch this space!
My friend Devina runs her own travel blog website and has started a segment called ‘Fab Friends’ and has interviewed me! You can read it here:
She is beautiful, inspiring and a great role model to look up to. It’s Yara Shahidi!
Beyonce was the first black female artist to headline at Coachella and her performance was AMAZING! I wanted to create an illustration to celebrate such a great moment and appreciate the Queen Bey herself!
You can find a speed painting video of the illustration process here: https://youtu.be/lG2wv2a6c58
I was wandering through the darkness and then followed the light in to a vast garden and grew myself some lavender. That heavenly, calming scent and its purple, ethereal appearance; it was me growing a new home for myself.
I’m planning to animate more and create more illustrative pieces, I have a lot of ideas and projects in the pipeline. I can not wait to show you!
Something I’ve been working on and experimenting with a new style and way of colouring. Also I uploaded before the end of November so it still counts as Autumn!
In keeping with my challenge, here is my October ID design! Inspired by my trip to the Lavender Fields back in August! I used ink and copics here to also go with my inktober challenge! I will collate all images from this year and 2016 on to a page soon so keep a look out 🙂
Many new updates to my shop on Society6 including stickers, backpacks and new tote bags plus tons more! Check it out 🙂
There was a problem with uploading this last month but here you are and it includes a plus one where I celebrated the first day of Autumn!
Aside from the long term commissions for illustrating children’s book, I have also taken on a couple of short term commissions. These were both for the same client (and old friend!) both portraits were birthday presents – what could be more of a surprise and a unique gesture than giving an illustrated portrait!
