I have been working on creating a monthly newsletter so my family, friends and fans can all stay up to date with my latest news on projects, exhibits, stalls and anything new all to do with Aliyah Art! I then thought it would be cute to add my little character with the newsletter and started creating emotes of ‘Chibi Alii’ and I really love the outcome – I completed these illustrations on my Twitch stream and they have gone down well on Instagram too, so I’ll be making more for sure! Stay tuned 🙂

Lavender Girl

I was wandering through the darkness and then followed the light in to a vast garden and grew myself some lavender. That heavenly, calming scent and its purple, ethereal appearance; it was me growing a new home for myself.

I’m planning to animate more and create more illustrative pieces, I have a lot of ideas and projects in the pipeline. I can not wait to show you!

I have been volunteering with a company called You Press over the summer to help create a website called ScribersHive. A place that gives young people (or anybody!) a voice and a place to express their opinions or creativity. I helped create posters promoting the website’s release, the logos for the podcast “Hidden Voices” and the “Comics” section – which I also have created a comic for inspired by one of the articles.

These were both for the same client (and old friend!) both portraits were birthday presents – what could be more of a surprise and a unique gesture than giving an illustrated portrait!

Pink Lars

Pink Lars from the recent Steven Universe hour special. Lars’ character has always been somewhat irritating to me in the series, but I absolutely loved seeing his moments of vulnerability where he struggled being himself. It just goes to show acceptance starts within and I always love that Steven Universe has these amazing life lessons to teach young children.

I wasn’t expecting Pink Lars to happen! But I absolutely loved it and it has solidified my love for Lars’ character, things are looking up for him.
